Taste Møn

Before the trip you choose accommodation: either Hotel Residens Møn (Stege), Bed & Breakfast ‘Købmandsgården’ (Råbylille) or a quality camping cabin at Camping Mønbroen or Møns Klint Resort. All four accommodations are ‘one of a kind’ in their category.

We welcome you at the accommodation Friday afternoon with a local drink. Dinner at the accommodation with the specialties of the house.

Saturday morning we offer you a guided tour at the historical ‘Silderuten’ trail through the medieval town of Stege, with a visit in the new medieval garden. Then time for shopping or a café visit in Stege, which also is a lively market town.   

After lunch with local produce at Hotel Residens Møn, we continue to eastern Møn, where we will visit the famous white cliffs of Møns Klint and the romantic Liselund Park with the world’s only thatched castle! Then visits at local producers of your own choice.

Dark Sky experiences

Saturday evening is set for 'Dark Sky' experiences. As the first destination in Denmark, Møn is appointed 'Dark Sky Park' by the international Dark Sky Foundation, because the darkness of night and the starry sky is better protected against light pollution here than elsewhere. After dinner with local specialties at the ‘Dark Sky Restaurant’, we go on a guided night tour in Møn's nature, under the dark – and hopefully starry – sky, where you can hear about the importance of darkness for animals and humans.

Sunday morning we go to the island Nyord, with an important bird reserve and a charming village, preserved in its original form from the 18th century, with all farms inside the village. The guide will tell you about birds, nature monitoring, hunting, cattle breeding and local life in the village, which has only 40 inhabitants – but 8 local associations!

After lunch (and mayby shopping) in ‘Noorbohandlen’, a special village grocery, we continue to western Møn, where a fantastic weekend will be finished by a visit – with tasting - at Møns own gin producer 'Isle of Møn Spirits'.
